Engagement Expert Claims Peller's Car Crash Was Staged for Content: "I Can Bet My December Salary On It"

A communication and engagement expert has ignited controversy by alleging that popular TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, deliberately staged his recent car crash as a ploy to boost online engagement.

In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the expert, identified by the handle @austeiin, boldly stated: “That Jarvis breakup with Peller is pure fallacy and a stunt! That accident Peller was involved in is all content. I can bet my December salary on it. It’s engagement farming. No be Peller again?!”

The allegation comes in the wake of Peller's dramatic car crash on December 14, 2025, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. During an emotional Instagram livestream, the 20-year-old influencer appeared distraught amid rumors of a breakup with his girlfriend, AI content creator Jarvis (Jadrolita). He made alarming statements before crashing his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz into a barrier, leading to his hospitalization and subsequent arrest by the Lagos State Police for reckless driving and attempted suicide.

@austeiin further criticized the hype around Peller and Jarvis's relationship, questioning why an educated individual like Jarvis would turn their romance into constant public content with "zero boundaries." He argued that the sequence of events—from the alleged breakup to the crash—was engineered for viral attention, a common tactic known as "engagement farming."

During a recent appearance on media personality Toke Makinwa's popular podcast Toke Moments, Toyosi addressed the sensitive topic head-on: “Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me.
