“I always ask God to tell me the right time to quit music” – Davido

Afrobeats superstar Davido has once again sparked conversation among fans after revealing a deeply personal mindset about his career: he constantly seeks divine guidance on when it might be time to step away from music.

In a candid reflection, Davido shared that despite his immense success, global recognition, and influence in the music industry, he does not see his journey as entirely self-directed. Instead, he places a strong emphasis on spirituality, stating that he always asks God to show him the right time to quit music. This perspective highlights a rare humility for an artist at his level—someone who has achieved chart-topping hits, sold-out tours, and international acclaim.

For Davido, music is more than fame or financial success; it is a calling. And like any calling, he believes there is a season for it. By seeking divine direction, he suggests that he is prepared to walk away when he feels his purpose in music has been fulfilled, rather than holding on indefinitely.

This revelation has resonated with many fans, especially those who admire not just his artistry but his openness about faith and life beyond the spotlight. In an industry where longevity is often pursued at all costs, Davido’s stance introduces a refreshing contrast—one that prioritizes purpose over permanence.

While there is no indication that he plans to retire anytime soon, his statement serves as a reminder that even the biggest stars are thinking about legacy, timing, and life after music. For now, fans can continue to enjoy his contributions, knowing that whenever the time comes, it will be a decision guided by something far deeper than the industry itself.

Johnson Suleman criticizes leadership, urges Nigerians to prioritize performance

General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has questioned the state of leadership in Nigeria following the recent Palm Sunday attack in Jos.

The televangelist, speaking on the current state of insecurity in the nation, said that leadership in the country has failed in its primary responsibility to protect citizens, instead focusing on pre-election campaigns and second-term ambitions.

“Leadership that prioritizes politics over protection of lives. Choosing rather to waste our collective patrimony in pre-election jamboree and pre-coronation plans. Posterity will judge a leadership that now emboldens, enables, and replicates what it once vehemently condemned,” Mr Suleman said on Monday via a post on X handle titled “Jos attack is another evidence of failed leadership.

Mr Suleman added that it’s time for the nation’s leaders to take full responsibility, stressing that prayers are important but cannot replace accountability.

“I believe in the power of prayers, but prayers won’t replace responsibility. We need humane leaders; these current folks have zero affiliation with empathy. We are tired. It’s depressingly exhausting.”

The cleric expressed his grief with the families affected by the attacks, offering prayers for strength in their losses.

He criticised supporters of failed leaders in the country who stand up to defend nonsense and should at least sound smart while doing so.

“We stand with the families who lost loved ones and pray for fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

“And for those who will engage this tweet to support failed leadership for the crumbs they offer you, please show your irritation via good grammar.

So even if I am irritated by your intentional delusion, I would be encouraged by your mastery of words. AJS.”

The Gari Ya Waye community in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, came under violent attack on Palm Sunday, as unknown gunmen killed men and women in the community, leaving others injured.

The state government has imposed a 48-hour curfew following the deadly incident, which took effect from March 29 to April 1, 2026, but it was violated as residents came out in large numbers to protest the resurgence of insecurity in the state, demanding justice and proper leadership.

“My kids won’t go into entertainment industry”- Davido confesses, shares reasons

Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has revealed that he does not want any of his children to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

The singer made the disclosure during a viral interview on The Breakfast Club, where he spoke about his plans for his kids and his desire for them to have a more stable path in life.

Speaking during the interview, he said:

“I would prefer my kids to work with my dad instead of doing entertainment. Every Christmas, my dad takes all the grandkids with him. And I could just see that upon all the things he has, including multiple private jets and all that, his happiness is him seeing his grandchildren. And my father is single.

So I just saw his happiness and I’m like this is what life is all about. My dad not wanting me in the entertainment really killed my joy until he saw that this boy is really adamant about doing this. I wouldn’t want to do that to my kids as well.”

Davido explained that his decision is influenced by his personal struggles in the entertainment industry before his breakthrough, noting that he would prefer his children to work in his father, Adedeji Adeleke’s companies instead.

According to him, while he eventually followed his passion despite initial resistance from his father, he hopes to guide his children toward careers that offer more stability and less pressure.

The superstar, known for his deep love for his children, has once again shown his concern for their future and career choices.

Father Speaks Amid Viral Arrest Claims

Baron Meyagy took to Instagram to show support for his daughter as speculation around her alleged arrest continues to spread across social media.

He wrote: “Family stands by each other as a unit, irrespective of the circumstance. In the end, she’s FATHER’S DAUGHTER. I gotcha U Mummy,”

Arrest Video Sparks Reactions Online

The situation escalated after a video surfaced online showing what many claimed was Angel being taken into custody by US law enforcement.

While the clip has not been officially confirmed, it has triggered massive reactions and debates on social platforms, with fans and critics trying to understand what really happened.

Marriage Breakup Turns Messy

The controversy is unfolding alongside the collapse of Angel’s marriage to her partner, Tumininu, which has now played out publicly through accusations and counterclaims.

The relationship, which was once celebrated after a private wedding in the United States, has reportedly broken down under pressure from financial and emotional disagreements.

Annulment Request and Financial Demands

Tumininu has officially demanded an annulment of the marriage, linking the decision to Angel’s alleged legal troubles in the US.

She also listed several demands, including a $40,000 refund, $8,000 for emotional damages, signing of annulment papers, and a legal agreement removing any immigration or financial ties.

“Butter ice cream cake” — Don Jazzy shares his take on why modern marriages do not last

Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has sparked widespread conversation online after sharing a humorous yet thought-provoking take on why many modern marriages do not last as long as those of previous generations.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the Mavin Records boss used wedding cake traditions as a metaphor to compare old and modern relationships, leaving many amused and reflective.

Don Jazzy’s Unusual Marriage Theory

Speaking casually, Don Jazzy said, “So we were thinking the other day about why… some of the marriages nowadays… they don’t last as much like our parents.”

He explained that in the past, couples often had traditional fruit cakes at weddings, which were preserved for long periods.

According to him, “Back in the days our parents… they used to make this fruit cake… they’ll leave the rest of the cake for like one year… and eat it in the one-year anniversary.”

He suggested that the durability of those cakes symbolised the endurance of marriages in earlier times.

Modern Cakes, Modern Relationships

Drawing a contrast with present-day practices, the music producer noted that many modern wedding cakes are made with butter and cream, which do not last long.

He said, “Now all those fruit cake that they used to put like alcohol… to make it last long… now you probably know this butter, butter ice cream cake… it doesn’t use to last.”

Don Jazzy jokingly linked this shift to shorter marriages, implying that what lasts longer may reflect deeper commitment and patience.

The Rise of Decorative Cakes

The entertainer also pointed out a growing trend where wedding cakes are largely decorative rather than functional.

He remarked, “Now some people don’t even make cake… they just design one big giant… and then put one small tiny part… where you can cut and share.”

He added humorously that much of the cake is sometimes covered with non-edible materials, saying, “Apparently the rest of the body of the big cake is a giant plastic.”

Humour with a Hint of Reflection

While Don Jazzy admitted his comments were not entirely serious, he ended on a light note, saying, “Maybe that is why your people’s marriage is not working… Maybe I’m high. I didn’t smoke, I just ate.”

Why most young Nigerians go broke – Don Jazzy

Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has shared his perspective on why many young Nigerians struggle to sustain wealth despite earning significant income.

Speaking on financial habits, he attributed the trend to spending on non-essential items rather than prioritising long-term value.

He emphasized the importance of responsibility, noting that financial success should also reflect in taking care of  family and making meaningful investments.

Don Jazzy highlighted that, despite having the means to afford luxury items, he chooses to focus on more impactful ventures. He encouraged youths to invest not only in businesses but also in personal development, including acquiring skills and knowledge that can generate income.

He also pointed to learning opportunities such as financial markets as part of self-investment, stressing that building capacity and making informed financial decisions are key to sustaining wealth.

The music executive said …

“The reason Nigerian youths go broke after making a lot of money is because they spend on irrelevant things and things they don’t need

I’ve been blessed enough for a long time to be able to afford any car that I want or even to buy a private jet or whatever but I have more important things to take care of, I have family to take care of… I’d rather invest in other things. There’s nothing that beats investment, including investing in your own self, including going to acquire knowledge of something you can charge people for. Even the Forex I’m learning now, I’m investing in myself”

*Why I Won’t Advise Anybody Close to Me to Go for BBNaija – Tega Dominic

In a candid and deeply personal revelation, former Big Brother Naija housemate **Tega Dominic** has opened up about the lasting emotional and mental toll of her time on the popular reality show, stating clearly that she would not encourage anyone dear to her to audition for it.

Speaking in a recent interview, Tega shared: “I won’t tell anybody close to me to go for Big Brother. If you’re not mentally strong, don’t go for Big Brother.”

She explained that her experience on the show significantly affected her mental health, particularly after she left the house. “After Big Brother, I used to have anxiety. It became worse. I had social anxiety. I can’t go to spaces if I’m alone. I can give you hugs, but I can’t receive hugs,” she said.

Tega’s words highlight the often-hidden psychological challenges that come with participating in high-stakes reality television. While the show brought her visibility and opened doors to opportunities she might not have accessed otherwise, the intense public scrutiny, isolation, and pressure took a heavy emotional price.

She acknowledged some positive changes in her life, noting that the platform elevated her in ways that could have taken much longer otherwise. However, her strong caution stems from a place of genuine concern for the well-being of loved ones.

Tega’s message is clear and heartfelt: Big Brother Naija is not for everyone. It demands exceptional mental resilience, and even then, the aftermath can be far more difficult than many anticipate.

Her honesty serves as an important reminder about the real human cost behind the glamour of reality TV. For Tega, protecting the peace and mental health of those closest to her outweighs any potential fame or fortune the show might offer.

Many fans and observers have commended her for speaking openly about these struggles, sparking wider conversations about mental health support for reality show participants long after the cameras stop rolling.

Nigerian Music Icons Fela Kuti and Sade Adu Earn Global Recognition with Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026

In a historic milestone for Nigerian and African music, legendary Afrobeat pioneer **Fela Anikulapo Kuti** and the iconic band **Sade**, fronted by **Sade Adu**, have been named to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026. This induction celebrates their profound and enduring influence on global music, culture, and artistic expression.

Fela Kuti, the revolutionary Nigerian musician, composer, and activist who passed away in 1997, becomes the **first African solo artist** ever inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He is being honored in the **Musical Influence / Early Influence** category for pioneering the Afrobeat genre — a powerful fusion of jazz, West African rhythms, highlife, funk, and soul that served as both danceable music and a bold vehicle for political resistance against corruption, colonialism, and injustice.

With over 50 albums, iconic tracks like “Zombie,” “Water No Get Enemy,” and “Lady,” and a career marked by fearless activism — including multiple arrests and the infamous government attack on his Kalakuta Republic commune — Fela’s music transcended borders and inspired generations of artists worldwide, from jazz and funk musicians to modern Afrobeats stars. His recent Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in late 2025 further underscores a banner year for his legacy.

Sade Adu, the Nigerian-born, Essex-raised singer-songwriter, and her long-standing band — comprising **Andrew Hale** (keyboards), **Paul Spencer Denman** (bass), and **Stuart Matthewman** (saxophone and guitar) — are being inducted in the **Performer** category. Since forming in London in 1982, Sade has crafted a timeless, sophisticated sound that seamlessly blends soul, jazz, R&B, and smooth pop. Their elegant arrangements, melodic saxophone lines, and Sade Adu’s velvety, mesmerizing vocals have created deeply personal and universally resonant music that feels both intimate and cinematic.

With multi-platinum albums such as *Diamond Life* (featuring the global hit “Smooth Operator”), *Promise*, *Stronger Than Pride*, and *Lovers Rock*, the band has maintained the same core lineup for over four decades, delivering understated elegance and emotional depth that continues to influence contemporary soul, R&B, and alternative artists. Their music has sold tens of millions of records worldwide and earned numerous accolades, including a prior induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The dual induction of these two Nigerian-linked artists highlights the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s growing recognition of global musical diversity and the profound ways African sounds have shaped popular music. It also marks a proud moment for Nigeria, often called the heartbeat of African music, as both artists carry deep Nigerian heritage — Fela as a native son and Sade Adu with her Nigerian roots.

The official **2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony** is scheduled for **Saturday, November 14, 2026**, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. The event will be broadcast later in December on ABC and Disney+.

**Quotes:**

“Fela Kuti was a revolutionary voice who spoke out against injustice through his innovative music — provoking political change while infusing jazz, West African, and soul music to pioneer the Afrobeat genre.” — Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

“Sade have spent over four decades crafting a distinctive blend of jazz, soul, and R&B, defined by smooth grooves, elegant arrangements, and the captivating vocals of Sade Adu. You know a Sade song when you hear it, but you don’t just hear Sade, you feel Sade.” — Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

This induction not only honors past achievements but also cements the global stage for African musical innovation and sophistication. As Fela’s infectious rhythms and Sade’s silky elegance continue to echo across generations, their place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ensures their legacies will inspire artists and listeners for decades to come.

“I Was Most Disappointed in Myself” – Davido Opens Up on Cheating on Wife Chioma Adeleke Before Marriage

Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as **Davido**, has candidly addressed a past mistake in his relationship with his wife, Chioma Adeleke (now Chioma Rowland Adeleke), revealing deep personal regret over an incident of infidelity that occurred before their marriage.

In a recent interview, the Afrobeats icon spoke openly about a challenging period in their relationship, stating:

> “I was most disappointed in myself when I cheated on my wife when we had a little rift back then before we got married. She’s an amazing person, and she didn’t deserve that. I shouldn’t have done it, but I apologized.”

Davido emphasized his self-disappointment and acknowledged that Chioma’s character and loyalty made the mistake even more regrettable. He described the infidelity as a moment of weakness during a temporary rift, expressing gratitude that the couple was able to move past it and build a stronger foundation leading to their marriage.

The couple, who share children together and officially tied the knot in a high-profile white wedding in 2024, has often been celebrated for their enduring bond despite public scrutiny and past relationship hurdles. Davido’s latest comments reflect a theme of growth, accountability, and commitment in their journey.

Fans and followers have reacted with a mix of support for Davido’s honesty and admiration for Chioma’s resilience. Many view the admission as a mature reflection on personal responsibility rather than a fresh scandal.

Davido, known for chart-topping hits and his influence in global music, has in recent years spoken about prioritizing family and personal evolution. This revelation comes as part of broader conversations around love, forgiveness, and redemption in high-profile relationships.

Justin Bieber's Coachella chaos: Singer hits the stage in a hoodie and packs his set with lesser-known songs... streaming snippets of his hits from YouTube on his laptop

Justin Bieber's hotly anticipated comeback at Coachella fell flat with many of his fans as he performed his set in a hoodie and streamed songs from his laptop.

Festival goers were so excited to see the headliner perform that the whole event had been dubbed 'Bieberchella' among fans, who couldn't wait to see his stage return.

However, rather than returning with a bang, the star left some of his fans disappointed as they branded the performance 'lazy', with debate centered on his unconventional staging and focus on new music.

In stark contrast, the Day 1 headliner - Sabrina Carpenter - had served up a polished performance with several outfit changes and impressive staging.

Ahead of the event, many had shared their desperation to hear Bieber play some of his old hits, but these were only heard in snippets as he sang along to YouTube clips.

The 32-year-old pop act has appeared as a surprise guest artist four times at the festival in support of Ariana Grande, Chance the Rapper, Daniel Caesar and Tems.

But on a late-night set on Day 2 of this year's festival, he made his debut at the top of the bill, delivering a set for which he was reportedly paid $10million.

His set was scheduled for an already late 11.25pm start time, and rumors circulated in the run-up to his set that the high desert winds might delay him even further.

Although he arrived on time to a burst of cheers and applause, he emerged dressed down in shorts, a hoodie and shades and proceeded to launch into a string of his lesser-known recent numbers, mostly neglecting his older hits.

Rising Afrobeats star Bella Shmurda has shared a candid glimpse into his pre-fame life, revealing that he once worked as a factory hand at a Dangote-owned food processing facility in Ikorodu, Lagos, where he packaged Indomie noodles for a monthly salary of ₦20,000.

In a recent interview with Echo Room, the musician reflected on his early struggles as an upcoming artist with no fan base or financial support. “I went to work in Ikorodu at Dangote’s company as one of those that package Indomie,” Bella Shmurda recounted. When asked about his earnings, he responded plainly: “I was making 20K per month.” He added that he had no side income at the time, describing the job as a necessary means of survival.

Bella Shmurda emphasized that life at the factory was far from easy. “It was not all good oh, if it were all good I wouldn’t go to the factory na. But it is all good. Those are things that I just remember now,” he said, highlighting the resilience required during that period of his journey.

The revelation has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians drawing inspiration from the singer’s story of grit and determination. From the factory floor in Ikorodu to the spotlight of the music industry, Bella Shmurda’s narrative underscores a common theme among many successful entertainers: humble beginnings and unwavering hustle.

Before signing with YBNL Nation and gaining mainstream recognition, Bella Shmurda balanced odd jobs and his passion for music. His breakthrough tracks and distinctive sound have since earned him a loyal following both in Nigeria and internationally.

This disclosure comes as a powerful reminder of the realities faced by many young Nigerians striving to make it in creative fields, while also celebrating the transformative power of persistence.

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton made their relationship Instagram official after weeks of romance rumors.

In an Instagram reel the Formula One driver posted on Monday, the reality TV star, 45, was seen sitting shotgun of his bright red Ferrari while he was driving.

Hamilton, 41, was driving around his race car at high speeds around the streets of Japan.

He set the video to the song Victory Lap by Skepta, PlaqueboyMax and FredAgain and wrote in the caption: 'HERE WE GO AGAIN. TOKYO DRIFT VOL. III.'

Near the end of the video, The Kardashian star could be seen sitting in the passenger seat and smiling widely after Hamilton showed off some of his driving tricks.

Kardashian recently traveled back to California for an extravagant Easter celebration with her family, but in late March, the pair were seen walking together in Tokyo.

Kardashian and Hamilton were first rumored to be dating in early February when they were seen on what appeared to be a romantic weekend trip in Europe.

They were reportedly spotted in the Cotswolds and later traveled from the U.K. to Paris.

That same month, they made a public appearance together and were spotted sitting together in the same VIP booth at the Super Bowl.

In early March, they enjoyed a luxurious trip together in Utah, and at the end of the month, the pair traveled to Tokyo alongside Kardashian's kids.

Kardashian reportedly brought along her three youngest children: Saint, 10, Chicago, nine, and Psalm, six.

Her eldest child is her 12-year-old daughter North, and Kardashian shares all four kids with her ex-husband Kanye West.

During their trip, Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian also tagged along and brought her daughter True, seven, and son Tatum, three.

Earlier this year, a source said that the couple have an 'intense' relationship and added that her family 'adores' him.

'Kim and Lewis's relationship is intense, but they are both keen to keep moving forward,' an insider previously told The Sun.

'He wants to spend as much time with her as possible, especially as he'll be back getting ready for the new F1 season in a couple of weeks.'

The source added: 'Lewis has been in LA, spending time with Kim and her family. They all adore him, especially her mom Kris [Jenner], who has loved having Lewis around.'

'They're all really approving of this relationship. They just want to see Kim happy.'

Kardashian and Hamilton have been friends for years, and were pictured with their then-partners, Kanye West and Nicole Scherzinger, in 2014 at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.

In 2015, Kardashian's ex-husband invited Hamilton to spend Easter with their family, with the rapper saying at the time: 'Lewis Hamilton's over at my house and we're playing some music in my studio.'

'We're having an Easter brunch and all of the family's there, my wife's family, my friends, everything. And everybody's like, "What is this music?" And I'm like, "It's Lewis Hamilton's music."

'They're like, "Oh my God. It's really good."'

Rosenior denies there’s crisis at Chelsea despite off pitch issues

Liam Rosenior has pushed back strongly against mounting criticism at Chelsea, insisting the club is not in crisis despite a poor run of results and growing pressure from supporters.

The Blues’ recent form has raised concerns, with elimination from the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain followed by a heavy 3-0 defeat to Everton.

The slump has extended to four consecutive losses, exposing defensive weaknesses, with just one clean sheet recorded in their last 15 matches.

Rosenior dismisses criticism

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Port Vale, Rosenior dismissed suggestions that he is underperforming or out of his depth.

“My record in the Premier League since I joined the club, we are fourth in the league,” he said.

“There is a noise around the football club that we are in a crisis, that I am out of my depth, that I talk nonsense… I know all of the noise. It doesn’t affect what is inside of here and that is what the players need to know as well.”

The former Strasbourg coach maintains that internal progress is being made, even if recent results suggest otherwise.

Results test Chelsea’s stability

Despite Rosenior’s defence, performances have intensified scrutiny around his tenure. Critics argue Chelsea’s league position does not fully reflect their inconsistency, pointing to similar struggles among rivals such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Defensive instability remains a key concern, while selection decisions, including the recent suspension of Enzo Fernández, have added to the external noise surrounding the squad.

Pressure building ahead of cup test

With confidence dipping and fan unrest growing, Chelsea’s upcoming FA Cup fixture now carries added significance.

Anything short of a convincing performance could further intensify pressure on Rosenior.

“My parents rejected my house gift”- Zlatan confesses, discloses reason

Nigerian rapper and songwriter **Zlatan Ibile** (real name Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael) has shared a deeply personal story about his early days of success, revealing that his parents initially rejected a luxury house he bought for them in Lekki because they doubted the legitimacy of his sudden wealth.

Speaking candidly on a recent episode of the YACN podcast, the “Zanku” hitmaker recounted how, shortly after blowing up in 2019 at the age of 25, he purchased his first house — reportedly worth over ₦70 million — with the intention of gifting it to his parents and moving them out of their previous neighbourhood.

“I wanted my parents to move out of the hood. I called my mom and told her I bought a house and I want them to move in, but she said that’s not possible,” Zlatan explained. “In a space of one year, how can I buy a house worth millions? Am I doing something apart from this music I’m doing?”

His parents, known for their strict values and cautious nature, suspected the money might have come from “Yahoo” (internet fraud) rather than his music career. They refused to move into the property until Zlatan provided concrete proof of his earnings.

“I had to print my account statement to show them I am being honest,” he revealed. “They later told me that if they have to come, they will do a seven days prayer to confirm if it’s from God.”

Zlatan admitted that the rejection initially hurt him, as he was trying to show appreciation and prioritize his family after years of humble beginnings. However, he expressed understanding and respect for his parents’ stance, noting their disciplined approach to life — including strict curfews and even making him sign a contract against getting tattoos during his younger days.

The confession has sparked widespread discussions online about parental skepticism, financial transparency in the entertainment industry, and the cultural dynamics of sudden wealth in Nigeria. Many have praised Zlatan for his honesty and for highlighting the challenges young artists face when their success seems “too fast” to loved ones.

Despite the initial setback, Zlatan has continued to build his career steadily. He remains one of the most influential voices in Afrobeats, known for his energetic street sound, dance moves, and hits that have dominated the Nigerian music scene.

Zlatan Ibile is signed to his own label, Zlatan World, and has collaborated with numerous top artistes across Africa and beyond. He continues to inspire fans with his music and real-life reflections on success, family, and perseverance.

“I Nearly Went Bankrupt, I Was Reckless” – Bella Shmurda Reflects on Near-Financial Collapse After Fame

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation **Bella Shmurda** (real name Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi) has opened up candidly about a turbulent chapter in his career, revealing how sudden fame and unchecked spending nearly pushed him to the brink of bankruptcy.

In a recent interview, the “Rush” hitmaker admitted that the excitement of rising stardom led him into extravagant habits that drained his resources rapidly. “I used to have a lot of money but I rushed things. I wish I was wise then,” Bella Shmurda shared. “I was just buying things extravagantly… I bought three cars at once just so that my friends would go out with me in convoy. I was reckless.”

The singer described how he extended his lavish lifestyle to those around him, often sponsoring friends’ expenses in a bid to maintain a flashy image in the spotlight. This misplaced priority, he said, almost cost him everything, forcing him to confront the harsh realities of poor financial management in the entertainment industry.

Bella Shmurda’s confession comes as a sobering reflection on the pitfalls many young artists face after tasting success. He emphasized learning valuable lessons from the experience, stressing the importance of wisdom, discipline, and smart money management.

“I nearly went bankrupt due to my extravagant lifestyle,” he stated, urging fellow artistes and fans alike to be more intentional with their earnings and avoid the trap of living solely for show.

The revelation has sparked conversations online about financial literacy in the music industry, with many praising Bella Shmurda for his honesty and vulnerability. Despite the setback, the artist has since refocused, continuing to deliver hit music while applying the hard-earned wisdom from his near-collapse.

Bella Shmurda remains one of Nigeria’s most promising Afrobeats talents, known for his energetic performances and street-inspired sound. He continues to build his career with a renewed perspective on success that balances fame with financial responsibility.

Coleen Rooney's partied the night away at her lavish 40th birthday party which saw guests arrive in style, with a helicopter seen landing at their £20M mansion.

The I'm A Celebrity star threw a huge bash for her closest friends and family as she had an enormous white marquee put up in the 50-acre grounds of her home.

Among the stars who pulled up to the mansion for the bash on Friday were English former footballer Phil Jones and his wife Kaya Hall.

TV personality Leanne Brown, who first rose to fame as one of the original cast members of Real Housewives of Cheshire back in 2015, also made an appearance.

Meanwhile Irish former footballer Darron Gibson was joined by another attendee in a black car as he arrived, and Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy also stepped out.

And the star-studded guest list made quite the arrival, with a helicopter even spotted landing at Coleen and Wayne's £20million Cheshire home.

In another snap, a glimpse of an outdoor marquee could be seen erected in the garden as people arrived in chauffeured cars.

The incredibly lavish celebrations are reportedly set to include hundreds of bottles of champagne on ice, a world famous singer to entertain the VIP crowd as well as a strict phone ban.

Wayne's footballer pals, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher, are all on the guest list for the huge bash, along with Coleen's WAG pals such as Annie Kilner and Abbey Clancy.

Speaking to The Mirror, a friend of Coleen's reportedly said she loves to party and will be up dancing during the celebrations.

'Coleen parties like a good northern Lass,' they said. 'She's a very normal girl at the end of the day - she just likes a good time and having fun. It will be epic.'

Elsewhere on Friday, Wayne and lookalike son Kai headed to the barbers in Cheshire ahead of the party.

Wayne cut a casual figure as the barber got to work while Kai, 16, was seen arriving with takeaway food for the pair.

The teen was dressed in a grey tracksuit which he teamed with chunky trainers and a £400 Louis Vuitton beanie.

While Coleen organised a surprise party for Wayne's 40th in October last year, he has not returned the favour and steered clear from planning the party over fears of disappointing her.

She said at the time: 'He always uses the excuse of "it wouldn't be good enough for you". He's not really a planner, so he'll say "there's no point in me doing it because you'd want to do it yourself".'

A source told The Mirror: '[Coleen] wants to have a good time without anyone filming anything like Wayne falling on the dance floor or being drunk, It's going be very high protection when it comes to this. It's a private party. There’s no one that can party like Coleen'.

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as **Tems**, has ignited widespread discussion across social media and public platforms following her candid remarks on the challenges of love and dating in contemporary society.

In a recent interview clip that has resurfaced and gone viral, Tems shared her honest perspective on romantic dynamics, stating, “Honestly, I don’t fall in love anymore because a lot of these men just want to penetrate.” She described many men’s intentions as “very obvious,” often lacking deeper emotional connection or a genuine desire for a serious relationship that could lead to marriage. The comments, originally made during a conversation on the *Korty Konversation* podcast with media personality Korty EO, have sparked intense debates about trust, emotional vulnerability, and the state of modern dating, particularly among young Nigerians.

Tems, celebrated for her soulful R&B-infused Afrobeats sound and hits like “Free Mind,” “Love Me Jeje,” and her collaborative work, has long been open about her personal growth and self-awareness. In the discussion, she highlighted a perceived shift in relationship expectations, where physical attraction often overshadows emotional depth and long-term commitment. Her remarks have resonated with many, prompting reflections on authenticity in romance amid evolving societal norms.

This is not Tems’ first exploration of these themes. In a December 2025 interview with *Complex*, she outlined clear **red flags** in potential partners: anyone who is not interested in being a genuine friend or showing curiosity about her as a person. “Someone who is not trying to be your friend is a red flag. Anybody who isn’t curious about you is also a red flag,” she said. “Because what are we doing? Why are we here if you don’t want to know me? If he or she doesn’t want to know more about you, end the relationship.” She described herself as a “lover girl” at heart but emphasized the importance of self-love and caution based on past experiences.

Earlier reflections from Tems include her 2024 comments on *Flow with Korty*, where she expressed a desire for “something deep but really real, not blind,” and shared that she had not yet experienced falling in love in the traditional sense. She defined love as choosing to remain in someone’s life despite annoyances, rooted in mutual respect and presence rather than fleeting passion.

Her openness has drawn mixed reactions online. Supporters praise her vulnerability and see her words as a mirror to broader frustrations with superficial dating culture. Critics and defenders have engaged in lively debates about gender expectations, personal standards, and the pressures of fame on private life. Many young women have echoed similar sentiments, while some men have pushed back or reflected on the need for more intentional relationships.

Tems has consistently focused on her artistry and personal well-being rather than public romance. She has addressed rumors about her personal life, including friendships in the industry, while prioritizing her music career. Her latest project, the EP *Love Is A Kingdom*, further explores themes of love, self-discovery, and emotional kingdoms in a poetic and introspective way.

A representative for Tems noted that her comments stem from personal reflection and a commitment to authenticity, not a blanket judgment. “Tems values genuine connection and continues to approach life and love with honesty and growth in mind,” the statement read.

As the conversation continues to trend, Tems’ remarks have highlighted ongoing dialogues about emotional intelligence, mutual respect, and redefining healthy relationships in a fast-paced, digitally influenced world. Fans and commentators alike are using the moment to share stories and advocate for more meaningful interactions beyond surface-level encounters.

Tems remains one of Africa’s most influential musical voices, blending vulnerability with strength in both her music and public persona. Her willingness to discuss complex personal topics continues to endear her to audiences who appreciate her unfiltered perspective.

Katie Price reveals new tattoo tribute to her husband Lee Andrews as she says she's 'madly in love' and 'doesn't care' what anyone thinks about the whirlwind romance

Katie Price revealed her new tattoo tribute to her husband Lee Andrews in her latest YouTube vlog uploaded on Tuesday.

The former glamour model, 47, initially tied the knot with the businessman, 42, in January just weeks after meeting, before holding a second, legal ceremony – much to the shock and concern of fans and family, due to reports of Lee being a scammer.

But Katie has made it clear she doesn't care what anyone thinks of the entrepreneur and last week got 'Lee' inked on her finger.

She says in the clip: 'I'm having another tattoo for Lee because I'm madly and deeply in love. You can call me crazy but I don't care what anyone thinks.'

Katie then said of her many exes: 'They were all rehearsals and rebounds. But I wouldn't have it any other way. When I am old I will look back and know I had an eventful life. I have lots of stories.'

'I'm having Lee, why not? Why not?,' Katie said of the new tattoo for her husband as the cameraman asked her: 'Are you mad?'

She responded: 'I'm a lunatic. I'm crazy, I'm nuts but I've got a heart of gold. My head is switched on somewhere but you live once and I want to do it, so why not?'

Katie and Lee already had each other's names inked on their hands in Dubai and proudly showed them off afterwards.

They also both got the angel number '11:11′ which is symbolises connection and new beginnings.

It comes after Lee's latest lies emerged as he stumbled through a car crash interview on Monday.

The so called businessman has boasted himself quite the linguist and claimed to speak 12 languages fluently, however when asked to show off his skills struggled through just three.

Lee has also said he 'works closely' with Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, which a source close to the billionaire family denying this to Daily Mail.

However despite Lee's apparent untruths, even admitting last week to lying on his CV which he blamed on a former unnamed PA, Katie still appeared more loved-up than ever, posting a meme about 'pure love' with 'no lies or secrets'.

In his latest interview Lee managed to speak about his wife in Spanish, despite referring to her incorrectly as his girlfriend, before the wheels came off when he was asked to do the same in Hindi and Arabic.

He told The Sun: 'I don't know the word for woman in Hindi. Hindi, I'm going to struggle with because it's like broken down. And anyone who listens to Hindi will say, 'that's not right' and I want to get it right. But let me try it in Hindi for you'.

Before going on to claim he found speaking Russian easier with Russian people as he can 'bounce off them'.

Elsewhere in the interview Lee said: 'I work with her mother directly. Kim, or should we say her mother, who manages most of her outlets... from what I understand, Kim doesn't have a voice. Kim. And obviously they've got their legal team'.

Last week Lee admitted he lied on his CV as he addressed fraud allegations after it was previously claimed that he spent three weeks locked up in a Dubai jail.

This was as a result of him allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to take out a £200,000 loan in her name and has been banned from leaving the United Arab Emirates. He denies this.

On Friday, Lee was also hit with a fresh accusation that he took $1000 from another woman and has thus far failed to pay her back - he denied the claims on Instagram soon after.

Lee, who is a self-proclaimed 'millionaire', has also claimed that he studied at Cambridge University and has a PhD.

His LinkedIn profile previously stated he was a 'Member Of The Board of Advisors' for the Labour Party and 'Director of Philanthropy at The King’s Trust', formerly The Prince’s Trust.

However, the businessman has now admitted his CV was embellished, claiming a former personal assistant was responsible.

He added that he does not manage his own LinkedIn or social media accounts.

However, he conceded that his CV definitely needs to change, admitting 'it's not good' by any means.

The Sun previously reported a woman got in contact with the publication, sharing how she believed she was investing $1000 in his company Aura Worldwide Holdings Ltd.

However paperwork for the company, which is registered in the British Virgin Islands, showed the business was dissolved in 2024.

Despite this the woman claims she has not received her investment money back from Lee.

She said: 'I sent $1000, which is almost 4000 Dubai Dirham. I sent it to his personal bank account but didn't question it at first.

'When I asked for it back, he said he would pay it back. It's been almost two months now and he's still not giving me my $1000 back.'

The publication has reportedly seen messages between Lee and the woman which confirmed he would return the cash in 24 hours.

However after she failed to receive the transaction, she went back to him on February 17, writing: 'This is my final request to return to me the 4000 I paid to you for shares in your company that was dissolved in 2024. Please wire the amount back to my account.'

On February 23, she followed up and threatened to go to the police, prompting Lee to reportedly reply: 'Police? Give me 48 hours I'll send.'

However she claims she is still yet to receive the money.

Despite official paperwork showing his business was dissolved in 2024, Lee insisted to the publication that the company is most certainly not dissolved, adding '100 per cent it's there'.

Lola Young gives a health update on her 'ongoing drugs recovery' after collapsing on stage

Lola Young has shared a health update on her addiction treatment and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after collapsing on stage.

The Messy hitmaker, 25, cancelled all of her planned shows after she was carried off-stage at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York in September last year.

Now in a new interview, Lola candidly opened up about her 'ongoing' sobriety journey and revealed she is 'doing a h*** of a lot better' since getting treatment.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, she said: 'I think I would rather for the sake of my privacy not say too much. But what I would say is that recovery is an ongoing process. I'm not the finished article, but I'm doing a hell of a lot better.'

When asked to clarify, she added: 'I mean drugs recovery, yes. When you're in recovery … that doesn't necessarily need to mean drugs – but me specifically, yes.'

The singer later revealed she checked into a 'holistic facility' that focuses on addiction and mental health, and she is now attending AA.

Lola also shared that she endured similar demons while recording her album I'm Only F**king Myself back in 2024.

She said: 'There were a lot of things going on for me personally — I was going through a lot of mental health issues, a lot of battling with addiction.'

The star sang about her battle with cocaine addiction and her previous stints in rehab on her previous record, with lyrics describing herself as 'a dumb little addict… trying to quit the snowflake.'

Lola had previously shared the criticism she faced for cancelling a string of concerts to focus on her recovery following her on-stage collapse.

She told Rolling Stone: 'There was a bunch of hate, but you know what? F**k it.

'[Going away] was a decision that I had to make . . . What else was I going to do? Die? That was the reality of where my addiction was heading.'

She continued: 'I chose to hurt myself and self-sabotage, and I also chose to get onstage and perform.'

Despite the traumatic incident, Lola said she is 'very grateful that it happened' because it was a turning point that allowed her to recover to have a 'better future and better herself'.

The singer also revealed that she was overwhelmed by supportive messages from fellow stars including Katy Perry, Elton John and Lady Gaga.

The British star has previously checked into rehab to tackle a cocaine addiction.

Earlier this year, Lola was nominated for five Brit Awards and last month picked up her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit Messy.

After the win, the star revealed she planned to celebrate without alcohol and was spotted drinking an energy drink as she partied with icon Shania Twain at the star-studded Universal bash.

She said: 'I am going to have an In-N-Out burger with my manager and everyone. I don't drink, but it's going to be fun anyway.'

Lola revealed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed at the age of 17 with schizoaffective disorder.

She said in an Instagram post: 'I cant find the words to describe how much this diagnosis has affected my entire life, and my outlook on the world around me.

'I have struggled immensely learning to accept this part of myself, and I am still learning.

'I have to remind myself that I am a regular f****** person, I am human and I am, like everyone, capable of incredible things, my mental health condition does not define me. It is my superpower.'

Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health condition that is marked by a mix of schizophrenia symptoms, such as hallucinations and delusions, and mood disorder symptoms, such as depression, mania and a milder form of mania called hypomania, as per the NHS.

She made the discovery aged 17 after having suffered with what she thought was clinical depression and bipolar disorder.

She explained that she had an uncle on either side of her family who also had schizophrenia and who had both tragically died.

Lola believed that the condition may in part have been triggered by smoking cannabis as a way to manage childhood trauma, which she chose not to disclose the details of.

She said she can usually sense an oncoming manic episode when she starts getting strange thoughts, but is usually able to medicate to keep things under wraps, though she has previously been taken by surprise and ended up being sectioned.

Lola admitted the unpredictability of her illness makes touring difficult, and she sometimes has manic episodes that last a month and doesn't sleep for several days on the trot.

Lola said that her illness can present her with a lot of guilt and shame, and that she often feels ostracised after incidents in which she has been unwell in front of people.
