Isaac Fayose mourns as he loses wife

Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the death of his wife.

Fayose disclosed the sad news in an Instagram post on Saturday, sharing a candlelight image alongside a brief tribute to his late wife.

He wrote …

“Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”

In another emotional post, he also shared photos of her while bidding her farewell.

The announcement comes months after Fayose revealed that his wife had been battling cancer.

During a visit to his  family in Australia earlier this year, he emotionally recounted how her health had deteriorated, explaining that she was too weak to carry out normal activities and that he had to care for her personally.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber.

“She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang,” Fayose said in tears.

The news of her passing has elicited condolences from fans, colleagues, and celebrities, including actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba, and veteran musician Daddy Showkey, among others.

Court orders Verydarkman to pay Mr Jollof’s wife N30m for defamation

A Federal High Court sitting in Effurun, Delta State, has ordered social media personality Verydarkman to pay ₦30 million in damages to Mrs Esinjemiyotan Uruneyonjuyei Atsepoyi, the wife of comedian Mr Jollof, over defamatory statements.

The controversy began in September 2024 during an online clash between Verydarkman and Mr Jollof, when the social commentator accused Mr Jollof’s wife of engaging in adultery with politicians and internet fraudsters to help her husband secure a political appointment in Delta State.

In reaction to the allegations, Mr Jollof defended his wife and criticized Verydarkman, while Mrs Atsepoyi subsequently filed a ₦500 million defamation suit against him.

According to court documents reportedly signed by Hon. Justice R. Harriman on May 13, 2026, the court ruled against VeryDarkMan after he allegedly failed to provide evidence to support the claims he made.

The court also directed him to publish a public apology and retraction within 14 days in two national newspapers and across all his social media platforms.

In his ruling, Justice Harriman stated:

“I therefore have no hesitation in holding that the words complained of are defamatory in their natural and ordinary meaning and are actionable per se.

I find that the Claimant is entitled to general and aggravated damages and an injunction. See DIAMOND BANK v. OKPALA (2016) LPELR-41573(CA) and OBOK & ORS v. AGBOR & ORS (2016) LPELR-41219(CA). Given the wide dissemination of the defamatory material, a retraction and apology are appropriate to restore the Claimant’s reputation.

Judgment is hereby entered in favour of the Claimant against the defendant as follows: It is declared that the words published by the Defendant concerning the Claimant are defamatory.

“N20,000,000.00 (Twenty Million Naira) as general damages; N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) as aggravated damages. The Defendant is hereby directed to publish an apology to the Claimant in two national dailies and all his social media handles containing a retraction of the defamatory words contained in the Defendant’s online publication of 15th, 16th, and in the early hours of 19th September, 2024, within 14 days of this judgment

The Defendant, by himself, his agents, and/or privies, is hereby restrained from further making any defamatory publication against the Claimant,” the court ordered.

Sandra ex-wife of Frank Edoho calls him out over alleged affair, spills shocking details

Sandra, the ex-wife of Frank Edoho, has publicly accused the media personality of serial infidelity and emotional abuse following online speculation linking her romantically to singer Chike.

In a series of emotional social media posts, Sandra alleged that Frank Edoho had multiple affairs during their marriage, including alleged relationships with former Big Brother Naija contestant Tega Dominic and Mbong Amata, the ex-wife of filmmaker Jeta Amata.

She further claimed that Edoho often disappeared for days, mishandled her finances, and allegedly brought other women into their matrimonial home.

According to Sandra, the emotional strain eventually pushed her to end the marriage and file for divorce.

The mother of two also maintained that she is now free to associate with or date anyone she chooses following the end of the marriage.

Her statements appeared to be a response to ongoing online discussions and rumours alleging that she was involved with Chike while still married to Frank Edoho.

She said in part …

“Surviving A Bitch Ass Nigga, Frank Edoho.

Choosing to remain silent may give mixed signals to the narrative that a sadist and narcissist peddies, making everyone believe he is a victim.

Choosing to marry a man, raising our beautiful kids, single handedly building & growing a successful design business and giving my self wholly, undiluted and faithful through and through!

Until you decided that while I am pregnant with our first child, you would rather have a prolonged affair that lasted years with an actress, Mbong Amata amongst other women. Where do | even begin? The nights crying on the floor begging that you see me, with you walking out and not returning for days!….”
