Rosenior denies there’s crisis at Chelsea despite off pitch issues
Liam Rosenior has pushed back strongly against mounting criticism at Chelsea, insisting the club is not in crisis despite a poor run of results and growing pressure from supporters.
The Blues’ recent form has raised concerns, with elimination from the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain followed by a heavy 3-0 defeat to Everton.
The slump has extended to four consecutive losses, exposing defensive weaknesses, with just one clean sheet recorded in their last 15 matches.
Rosenior dismisses criticism
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Port Vale, Rosenior dismissed suggestions that he is underperforming or out of his depth.
“My record in the Premier League since I joined the club, we are fourth in the league,” he said.
“There is a noise around the football club that we are in a crisis, that I am out of my depth, that I talk nonsense… I know all of the noise. It doesn’t affect what is inside of here and that is what the players need to know as well.”
The former Strasbourg coach maintains that internal progress is being made, even if recent results suggest otherwise.
Results test Chelsea’s stability
Despite Rosenior’s defence, performances have intensified scrutiny around his tenure. Critics argue Chelsea’s league position does not fully reflect their inconsistency, pointing to similar struggles among rivals such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa.
Defensive instability remains a key concern, while selection decisions, including the recent suspension of Enzo Fernández, have added to the external noise surrounding the squad.
Pressure building ahead of cup test
With confidence dipping and fan unrest growing, Chelsea’s upcoming FA Cup fixture now carries added significance.
Anything short of a convincing performance could further intensify pressure on Rosenior.
“My parents rejected my house gift”- Zlatan confesses, discloses reason
Nigerian rapper and songwriter **Zlatan Ibile** (real name Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael) has shared a deeply personal story about his early days of success, revealing that his parents initially rejected a luxury house he bought for them in Lekki because they doubted the legitimacy of his sudden wealth.
Speaking candidly on a recent episode of the YACN podcast, the “Zanku” hitmaker recounted how, shortly after blowing up in 2019 at the age of 25, he purchased his first house — reportedly worth over ₦70 million — with the intention of gifting it to his parents and moving them out of their previous neighbourhood.
“I wanted my parents to move out of the hood. I called my mom and told her I bought a house and I want them to move in, but she said that’s not possible,” Zlatan explained. “In a space of one year, how can I buy a house worth millions? Am I doing something apart from this music I’m doing?”
His parents, known for their strict values and cautious nature, suspected the money might have come from “Yahoo” (internet fraud) rather than his music career. They refused to move into the property until Zlatan provided concrete proof of his earnings.
“I had to print my account statement to show them I am being honest,” he revealed. “They later told me that if they have to come, they will do a seven days prayer to confirm if it’s from God.”
Zlatan admitted that the rejection initially hurt him, as he was trying to show appreciation and prioritize his family after years of humble beginnings. However, he expressed understanding and respect for his parents’ stance, noting their disciplined approach to life — including strict curfews and even making him sign a contract against getting tattoos during his younger days.
The confession has sparked widespread discussions online about parental skepticism, financial transparency in the entertainment industry, and the cultural dynamics of sudden wealth in Nigeria. Many have praised Zlatan for his honesty and for highlighting the challenges young artists face when their success seems “too fast” to loved ones.
Despite the initial setback, Zlatan has continued to build his career steadily. He remains one of the most influential voices in Afrobeats, known for his energetic street sound, dance moves, and hits that have dominated the Nigerian music scene.
Zlatan Ibile is signed to his own label, Zlatan World, and has collaborated with numerous top artistes across Africa and beyond. He continues to inspire fans with his music and real-life reflections on success, family, and perseverance.

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation **Bella Shmurda** (real name Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi) has opened up candidly about a turbulent chapter in his career, revealing how sudden fame and unchecked spending nearly pushed him to the brink of bankruptcy.
In a recent interview, the “Rush” hitmaker admitted that the excitement of rising stardom led him into extravagant habits that drained his resources rapidly. “I used to have a lot of money but I rushed things. I wish I was wise then,” Bella Shmurda shared. “I was just buying things extravagantly… I bought three cars at once just so that my friends would go out with me in convoy. I was reckless.”
The singer described how he extended his lavish lifestyle to those around him, often sponsoring friends’ expenses in a bid to maintain a flashy image in the spotlight. This misplaced priority, he said, almost cost him everything, forcing him to confront the harsh realities of poor financial management in the entertainment industry.
Bella Shmurda’s confession comes as a sobering reflection on the pitfalls many young artists face after tasting success. He emphasized learning valuable lessons from the experience, stressing the importance of wisdom, discipline, and smart money management.

Coleen Rooney parties the night away at lavish 40th birthday party - as guests arrive in style with a helicopter seen at their £20M mansion
Coleen Rooney's partied the night away at her lavish 40th birthday party which saw guests arrive in style, with a helicopter seen landing at their £20M mansion.
The I'm A Celebrity star threw a huge bash for her closest friends and family as she had an enormous white marquee put up in the 50-acre grounds of her home.
Among the stars who pulled up to the mansion for the bash on Friday were English former footballer Phil Jones and his wife Kaya Hall.
TV personality Leanne Brown, who first rose to fame as one of the original cast members of Real Housewives of Cheshire back in 2015, also made an appearance.
Meanwhile Irish former footballer Darron Gibson was joined by another attendee in a black car as he arrived, and Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy also stepped out.
And the star-studded guest list made quite the arrival, with a helicopter even spotted landing at Coleen and Wayne's £20million Cheshire home.
In another snap, a glimpse of an outdoor marquee could be seen erected in the garden as people arrived in chauffeured cars.
The incredibly lavish celebrations are reportedly set to include hundreds of bottles of champagne on ice, a world famous singer to entertain the VIP crowd as well as a strict phone ban.
Wayne's footballer pals, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher, are all on the guest list for the huge bash, along with Coleen's WAG pals such as Annie Kilner and Abbey Clancy.
Speaking to The Mirror, a friend of Coleen's reportedly said she loves to party and will be up dancing during the celebrations.
'Coleen parties like a good northern Lass,' they said. 'She's a very normal girl at the end of the day - she just likes a good time and having fun. It will be epic.'
Elsewhere on Friday, Wayne and lookalike son Kai headed to the barbers in Cheshire ahead of the party.
Wayne cut a casual figure as the barber got to work while Kai, 16, was seen arriving with takeaway food for the pair.
The teen was dressed in a grey tracksuit which he teamed with chunky trainers and a £400 Louis Vuitton beanie.
While Coleen organised a surprise party for Wayne's 40th in October last year, he has not returned the favour and steered clear from planning the party over fears of disappointing her.
She said at the time: 'He always uses the excuse of "it wouldn't be good enough for you". He's not really a planner, so he'll say "there's no point in me doing it because you'd want to do it yourself".'
A source told The Mirror: '[Coleen] wants to have a good time without anyone filming anything like Wayne falling on the dance floor or being drunk, It's going be very high protection when it comes to this. It's a private party. There’s no one that can party like Coleen'.
