His family confirmed the news in a heartfelt statement shared on social media the following day.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning,” the statement read. “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.”

Norris, born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, rose from humble beginnings to become one of Hollywood’s most enduring tough-guy icons. A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, he dominated the martial arts world in the 1960s and 1970s, winning multiple world middleweight karate championships and founding his own chain of martial arts schools. His explosive screen presence debuted in the 1972 film *Way of the Dragon*, where he famously battled Bruce Lee in the Colosseum—an encounter that cemented his place in action cinema history.

Throughout the 1980s, Norris starred in a string of high-octane hits including *Missing in Action*, *Code of Silence*, *The Delta Force*, and *Lone Wolf McQuade*, portraying fearless soldiers, cops, and lone warriors who dispensed justice with precision and grit. His longest-lasting and most iconic role came as Texas Ranger Cordell Walker in the CBS series *Walker, Texas Ranger* (1993–2001), a show that blended martial arts action, moral storytelling, and family values, earning him a devoted global fanbase and turning “Walker” into a cultural touchstone.

Beyond the screen, Norris became a pop-culture phenomenon in the early 2000s through the viral “Chuck Norris Facts” internet meme, which humorously exaggerated his toughness and invincibility. He embraced the phenomenon with good humor, even authoring books that playfully nodded to his larger-than-life image.

A devout Christian, fitness advocate, and longtime supporter of veterans and youth programs, Norris remained active well into his later years, promoting health through his Total Gym brand and sharing motivational messages with fans. Just days before his passing, he posted a lighthearted video celebrating his 86th birthday, captioning it: “I don’t age. I level up.”

Warner Music Group Faces Risk of Nigerian Lawsuit Over Continued Distribution of Burna Boy’s Early Albums Despite Legal Demand to Cease

Lagos-based law firm Creative Legal, acting on behalf of 960 Music Limited—the majority shareholder in Aristokrat Records—has confirmed that global entertainment conglomerate Warner Music Group (WMG) has failed to respond to a formal legal demand to immediately halt all distribution and commercial exploitation of Burna Boy’s foundational albums, *L.I.F.E* (2013) and *Redemption* (2016).

The demand, issued in writing, required WMG—as the distributor for Spaceship Music Limited (Burna Boy’s current imprint)—to suspend immediately all forms of distribution, marketing, monetization, licensing, synchronization, and any other commercial use of the disputed catalogue pending resolution of ongoing court proceedings in Nigeria. WMG was given seven days to acknowledge receipt and confirm compliance. That deadline has now expired without any response or action from the company.

The underlying dispute centers on an alleged mid-2024 transfer of master recordings and intellectual property rights from Aristokrat Records Nigeria Limited to Spaceship Music Limited. 960 Music Limited, holding a 40% equity stake in Aristokrat, asserts that it was neither notified nor provided consent for the transaction, rendering it invalid under applicable Nigerian corporate and intellectual property law. The shareholder is actively seeking court orders to nullify the transfer in proceedings before the Federal High Court.

Creative Legal stated: “Warner Music Group’s continued exploitation of these works, despite formal notice of the ownership controversy and an explicit demand to preserve the status quo, exposes the company to significant legal risk. We are prepared to seek judicial intervention to join WMG as a defendant in the existing civil action and, if necessary, pursue additional remedies to protect our client’s interests.”

This development escalates an already complex multi-million-dollar rights dispute in Nigeria’s rapidly growing music industry, highlighting challenges around transparency, shareholder rights, and catalogue transfers in early-stage artist agreements.

960 Music Limited and its legal team remain committed to resolving the matter through the courts and urge all parties involved to respect the judicial process.

 Sat alone, Sir David Beckham appeared deep in thought under the glow of the fluorescent lights in a late-night sandwich shop in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old had narrowly missed coming face-to-face twice with his estranged son, Brooklyn, for the first time since May, after they both visited the same hotel on Monday.

Sir David, who has been left heartbroken by the rift with the 27-year-old, wore a simple white t-shirt as he dined solo at Fat Sal’s, a restaurant not far from his son's £12million mansion in Beverly Hills.

A source told the Daily Mail:' While David didn't know where Brooklyn was, he knew he was in the same city so of course it was sad.

'So much of Brooklyn's childhood was spent in LA, it was a happy time for the Beckhams. Bow David is there without his son.'

The former England Captain, who is in LA filming an advert for Lays crisps, checked into the five-star hotel late on Sunday night, after arriving from his skiing trip in British Columbia with his middle son Romeo, 23.

On Monday morning, the former footballer had an early start to get to his filming location five miles away in Santa Monica to record the advert for the snack company - the sponsor of the forthcoming World Cup.

A few hours later, Brooklyn arrived at the hotel to have breakfast and to relax by the pool after he had partied into the early hours at his godfather Sir Elton John’s Oscars party with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Sir David arrived back to dine with friends at the world-famous Polo Lounge restaurant at 6pm - three hours after his son was last seen at the hotel by an onlooker.

Friends of the Beckhams say that Sir David 'had no idea' that Brooklyn had been at the hotel when he arrived on either occasion.

Sir David and his son haven't spoken since last May, when Brooklyn and Nicola snubbed his 50th birthday celebrations. The couple's lawyers wrote to the Beckhams' legal team demanding that they only converse through them.

Shortly before Christmas, Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram and in January he posted a brutal, bombshell six-page letter on the social media platform in which he claimed Sir David and Victoria controlled him for most of his life, tried to split him and Nicola up and left him embarrassed when his mother danced 'inappropriately' with him during his first dance at his wedding. She denies her son's allegations.

 Holly Ramsay has stepped out for the first time since her husband Adam Peaty's sister spoke about his feud with his family, as she attended the French Connection SS26: Join Our Club event on Wednesday.

The influencer, 26, joined stars including Vanessa White for the launch at Perola in London to celebrate the release of the brand's new collection.

In the weeks leading up to his wedding to Holly, Adam was involved in a bitter fallout with his mum Caroline, 60, which saw him disinvite her and the rest of his family - bar his sister - from his wedding in December.

However, Holly has brushed off the drama and has been making the most of her first few months of married life, even supporting Adam at an International Swim Meet over the weekend.

Holly's outing was her first since Adam's sister Bethany spoke out about her mother's feud with the Ramsay family.

Now, Beth has shared her heartbreak over the ongoing rift, revealing she's been divided between loyalties towards her mother and Olympian brother.

While the tension shows no signs of easing between the sparring members, Beth told the Daily Mail that she has now made peace with her mother Caroline, 60, for the sake of her children.  

Beth, a carer who has an eight-year-old son and five-year-old daughter, told the Daily Mail it has been a 'very difficult time', adding, 'I'm caught right in the middle of the row.

'But I've made up with mum really for the children. They adore her and she is a great grandma and a good mum.'

Beth, who is engaged to partner Daniel Rogerson, 37, said it was 'very sad' that Adam had banned their mother from the wedding, saying: 'It was a shame and very sad she couldn't go.'

She hinted she had tried to act as a go between the warring pair, but said she couldn't help, noting, 'we as Peatys are very strong minded people'.

Beth admitted that her head was turned by all the glitz and glamour of a celebrity world, yet a family source claimed that she has since distanced herself from the Ramsay clan. 

In response, Beth shared: 'It's a wonderful world, a very different one to the one we know.'

Of her new relatives - chef Gordon Ramsay, wife Tana and influencer daughter Holly - she said: 'They are a good family and made me feel very welcome.'

She added that she had 'no idea' when she would become a bride and marry her fiancé, saying: 'I don't know when we are getting married - it won't be on the Ramsay scale!'

Beth's comments come as a family source claimed that she had been 'a bit of a snake'. 

They told the Daily Mail: 'Beth had a glimpse into a different life and sold her soul by backing Adam to be part of it.

'She's come running back to mum and they have reconciled.'
