Davido and Chioma Enjoy Romantic Getaway in Hawaii Amid ₦1 Billion Lawsuit from Sophia Momodu’s Lawyer

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido (David Adeleke) and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, are currently enjoying a luxurious romantic vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii, as social media buzzes with images and videos of the couple's tropical escape. The getaway comes at a time when Davido faces a high-profile ₦1 billion legal claim from the lawyer representing his former partner, Sophia Momodu, in their ongoing child custody dispute.

Davido and Chioma have shared glimpses of their "baecation" on social media, including clips of private jet travel, adventurous activities such as hiking and zip-lining, yacht relaxation, and quality time exploring Hawaii's vibrant culture and cuisine. Sources close to the couple describe the trip as a much-needed break focused on recharging and strengthening their bond amid a busy period.

The vacation follows closely on the heels of a pre-action notice and lawsuit threat issued by Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, representing Sophia Momodu's legal interests in the custody battle over their daughter, Imade Adeleke. The claim, directed at Davido, alleges harassment, cyberbullying, defamation, and threats stemming from a tense courtroom incident on February 12, 2026, at the High Court of Lagos State, as well as subsequent social media posts where Davido reportedly criticized the lawyer, Ebelechukwu Egeonu Enedah, calling her the "worst lawyer ever."

The law firm has demanded a public apology, retraction of statements, deletion of relevant posts, cessation of further comments on the matter, and ₦1 billion in damages for alleged reputational harm, emotional distress, and related grievances. The notice reportedly gives a short window for compliance before full legal proceedings.

Despite the mounting legal pressure tied to the long-running custody case, Davido appears unfazed, with fans noting his focus on family and enjoyment during the Hawaii trip, often accompanied by staff and close associates. The singer has not issued a public statement on the lawsuit at this time.

This development adds another layer to the high-profile personal and legal saga between Davido and Sophia Momodu, which has drawn significant public attention in recent months.

Supacell' Actor and Rapper Ghetts Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Award-winning British rapper and actor Ghetts, best known for his role as the antagonist "Krazy" in Netflix's hit series *Supacell*, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison following a fatal hit-and-run incident in north-east London.

Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, 41, pleaded guilty in December to causing death by dangerous driving and an additional count of dangerous driving. He was sentenced at the Old Bailey on March 3, 2026, by Judge Mark Lucraft KC. In addition to the custodial term, Clarke-Samuel has been disqualified from driving for 17 years.

The incident occurred on October 18, 2025, when Clarke-Samuel, driving a BMW at approximately 60 mph in a 30 mph zone and under the influence of alcohol (with a blood alcohol level 1.5 times the legal limit), struck and killed 20-year-old Nepalese student Yubin Tamang as he crossed the road in Ilford. Clarke-Samuel failed to stop at the scene or report the collision, and emergency services were not immediately alerted by him.

The court heard details of erratic and dangerous driving prior to the fatal impact, captured on CCTV. While acknowledging Clarke-Samuel's genuine remorse, previous charitable contributions, and contributions to music and the arts, the judge emphasized the severity of the offense, noting that the decision to drink and drive had tragically ended a young life.

Ghetts rose to prominence in the UK grime scene as part of collectives like N.A.S.T.Y. Crew and through his solo work, earning critical acclaim for albums and collaborations. His acting debut in *Supacell* – a Netflix superhero drama – brought him wider international recognition in 2024.

No further statement has been issued on behalf of Clarke-Samuel or his representatives at this time. The family of Yubin Tamang has been supported throughout the proceedings, and tributes have highlighted the promising future cut short by the incident.

João Pedro Hat-Trick Revives Chelsea’s Top-Four Push with Emphatic 4-1 Comeback Win at Aston Villa

João Pedro produced a sensational first Premier League hat-trick as Chelsea staged a thrilling comeback to defeat Aston Villa 4-1 at Villa Park, narrowing the gap to the top four to just three points and reigniting their Champions League qualification hopes under manager Liam Rosenior.

Chelsea fell behind early to a Douglas Luiz strike, but the Brazilian forward turned the game on its head with a clinical treble. Pedro equalized with a smart far-post tap-in, then added a second to put the Blues ahead before completing his hat-trick in the second half with a simple finish from Alejandro Garnacho's squared pass. Cole Palmer sealed the rout with a superb volley, capping a dominant display from the visitors.

The performance marked a statement win for Chelsea, who had been under pressure to deliver in the race for European spots. Pedro's goals take his tally to an impressive 17 in all competitions this season, establishing him as a key figure in Rosenior's attacking setup since his arrival.

Post-match, Pedro expressed his delight: "I'm living my dream! Since I joined Chelsea, I’ve been waiting for moments like this – playing for a big team and scoring a hat-trick. It was a perfect night, and we're still fighting for the top four with nine games left."

Manager Liam Rosenior hailed his star forward as "world class": "João was outstanding – clinical, intelligent, and a real leader up front. The whole team showed character to come from behind against a strong Villa side. This result keeps our Champions League push very much alive, and the players deserve huge credit for their focus and quality."

The victory lifts Chelsea into fifth place in the Premier League table, just three points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa, whose recent form has faltered. With the season entering its final stretch, the Blues now have renewed momentum as they target a return to Europe's elite competition.

Chelsea's next fixture sees them continue their push in upcoming Premier League action, while Villa look to regroup.

Arsenal Go Seven Points Clear at the Top as Manchester City Drop Precious Points in Premier League Title Race

London, UK – Arsenal strengthened their grip on the Premier League summit with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium, while Manchester City were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at home to Nottingham Forest, propelling the Gunners seven points clear at the top of the table.

Bukayo Saka's early ninth-minute strike proved decisive for Mikel Arteta's side against Brighton. The England international capitalized on an error to slot home, and despite sustained pressure from the Seagulls in the second half, Arsenal's resolute defense – anchored by another clean sheet for goalkeeper David Raya – held firm to secure all three points in a nervy but vital win.

The result could not have come at a better time for the Gunners, as title rivals Manchester City stumbled at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola's side twice led through goals from January signing Antoine Semenyo (a volley) and Rodri (a header), but Nottingham Forest fought back valiantly. Morgan Gibbs-White's backheel equalizer was followed by a late 76th-minute strike from Elliot Anderson to earn a shock point for the visitors, who remain just above the relegation zone.

With only eight matches remaining in the 2025-26 season, Arsenal now sit comfortably atop the standings, boasting a seven-point advantage over City – who retain a game in hand (against Crystal Palace). The Gunners' defensive solidity has been key, with another shutout extending their impressive run and positioning them as strong favorites to claim their first Premier League title since the Invincibles era of 2003-04.

Post-match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team's resilience: "This was a massive three points in a huge week for us. The character, the discipline, and the belief in the group were outstanding. We know the challenge isn't over, but we're in a strong position and focused on taking it one game at a time."

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola expressed disappointment: "We controlled large parts but dropped points from winning positions again. It's frustrating, but we fight on. The gap is big now, but football can change quickly."

Arsenal's next outing sees them in FA Cup action away to Mansfield Town, while Manchester City turn their attention to upcoming fixtures as they bid to close the gap. The title race remains alive, but the momentum has swung firmly in Arsenal's favor.

Manchester United Slips to 10-Man Newcastle as Carrick’s Unbeaten Run Comes to an End

Manchester United suffered a dramatic 2-1 defeat to 10-man Newcastle United at St James' Park on March 4, 2026, bringing an end to Michael Carrick's impressive unbeaten run as interim manager in the Premier League.

Manchester United fell to a heartbreaking 2-1 loss against Newcastle United in a thrilling Premier League encounter at St James' Park on Wednesday evening. Despite Newcastle playing with 10 men for the entire second half following Jacob Ramsey's red card in first-half stoppage time, the Magpies secured a sensational victory thanks to a late winner from substitute William Osula.

Anthony Gordon opened the scoring for Newcastle with a penalty in the 45+6th minute, capitalizing on a contentious decision. Manchester United responded after the break, with Casemiro heading home an equalizer to restore parity and seemingly set the stage for the Red Devils to capitalize on their numerical advantage.

However, Newcastle showed remarkable resilience and spirit. In the 90th minute, Osula produced a moment of individual brilliance—a stunning curling strike from the right flank after a swift counter-attack—that left United goalkeeper helpless and sealed a famous win for Eddie Howe's side.

The result marks Michael Carrick's first defeat since taking interim charge of Manchester United following Ruben Amorim's departure. Prior to this match, Carrick had guided the team through an unbeaten streak that revitalized their season and pushed them firmly into the top-four conversation.

Post-match, Carrick acknowledged the disappointment while emphasizing the bigger picture: "We're disappointed and annoyed with the manner of the defeat, especially against 10 men for so long. But we have to learn from this, stay grounded, and keep pushing forward. The players have given everything in recent weeks, and this is just one setback in what remains a positive journey."

Manchester United remain in a strong position in the Premier League standings despite the loss, but the result serves as a reminder of the fine margins at the top level. The team now turns its focus to the next fixture as they aim to bounce back quickly.
