George Clooney and his wife Amal, 48, look more in love than ever as they celebrate his 65th birthday in St Tropez

George and Amal Clooney poured on the PDA during a sun-drenched sojourn in St Tropez, where they celebrated the actor's milestone 65th birthday on Thursday.

The couple resembled lovestruck teenagers as they laughed and chatted together after enjoying a leisurely lunch with friends at Club 55, an exclusive club and restaurant offering breathtaking views of sand and sea.

The two could not seem to keep their hands off one another while strolling around the picturesque town.

Their day trip included a boat ride from the yacht to shore and even then, Clooney stayed glued to his wife's side.

Ever the gracious host, the Jay Kelly star was seen conversing with friends.

Clooney, who had another romantic break with Amal in the south of France in December, was beachy-cool in a black polo shirt and beige trousers accessorized with a wide leather belt, as tan loafers completed the look.

Amal, 48, was stylishly sophisticated in an embellished, multi-colored top and matching skirt along with calf-high black boots.

Both wore sunglasses suited to their individual tastes as they took in the sights and sounds, St Tropez being one of their favorite and regular places to visit.

Last month, in an interview with Page Six at the 51st Chaplin Award Gala, where he was being honored, the Oscar winner was asked about the big birthday coming up and whether it was like 'the third act.'

'Well, let’s hope! Depends on how long the whole show runs,' Clooney quipped.

He spoke about his time being more focused on philanthropy these days, such as the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which he founded with Amal.

'I’m spending it more working on the foundation, working more on the schools and doing things that I find more fulfilling because I'm not chasing a career anymore, you know.

'That's helpful in a way because you get to spend time working on things that matter to you at least. And so that's where my focus is. But, you know, if you get a good part, you take it.'

Clooney admitted he has had a long and interesting career, including a stint on the 1980s sitcom The Facts of Life as handyman George.

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay SPLIT after 23 years of marriage

Despite a ‘sexting’ misdemeanour revealed in 2010, the television presenting duo’s marriage has been one of the longest in showbusiness.

But last night in a sensational statement, golden couple Tess, 57, and Vernon, 52, revealed that they have split, almost 23 years after they wed.

In a joint announcement, the former Strictly Come Dancing host and Radio DJ said they had reached a mutual agreement to go their separate ways, though friends of the couple said they were both still at their marital home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, yesterday.

The couple wrote: ‘After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.

‘This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire of what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.

‘There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time.

‘We will not be making any further public comments.’

Tess and Vernon – thought to be worth around £10million – were last seen publicly together in February of this year when they hosted an episode of The One Show. They are also food ambassadors for Marks and Spencer.

Friends of the two, who met while presenting Top Of The Pops@Play together in 2001, were stunned to learn of the news.

One said: ‘When Vernon told me, I was stunned, I didn’t see it coming, nobody did. This is going to take some getting used to.’

But while it may have come as a surprise to outsiders, sources close to Tess and Vernon say they have spent a ‘significant’ amount of time coming to the decision. Their two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16, were ‘completely involved’ in the conversations.

‘Tess and Vernon are actually really, really happy now,’ says a friend. ‘They’re still living together for now though that will of course change in the near future. The girls were very much part of the decision. They had grown apart, they are different to when they first met. They acknowledged that and decided life would be better if they were to split. They are both in their 50s, they have so much time left and they have decided they would be happier not being together so that’s what they’ve done. It is all very, very amicable.

‘They have lived through so much together, they have had so many happy times.

‘They have had more than two decades of laughs and are extremely proud of their girls but they know splitting is for the best.’

Sources say there is no third party involved and it is understood that divorce lawyers are yet to be instructed but that the plan is to do so down the line.

The couple began dating back in the early 2000s when Tess hosted children’s show SMTV and Vernon was a model trying to make it as a television presenter.

They were widely regarded as a bubbly, carefree pairing – when they married at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Horwich, near Bolton where Vernon grew up, they had a VW camper van as a wedding car.

They have been regarded as one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness, despite Vernon being caught ‘sexting’ Page 3 model Rhian Sugden in 2010.

Why people should have many children – Korede Bello

Popular singer Korede Bello has urged couples to consider having larger families, arguing that increasing the number of children born raises the likelihood of producing exceptional talents.

In a video message, he pointed out that legendary artist Michael Jackson, who was the seventh child in his  family, might never have been born if his parents had chosen to have fewer children

Bello expressed concern that many families today opt for only one child or limit their family size, and he encouraged parents to have more children, emphasizing that the world could benefit from more extraordinary talents like Jackson.

He said …

“I have been wondering – what if Michael Jackson’s mother had stopped at two or six kids? He was the seventh. Imagine a world without him just because she chose fewer children. Now many people are having just one child. It is very rare to find a young couple with three kids these days.

“What is going with this fewer kids people are having nowadays. I understand that the economic situation limits our desires to populate the earth. But how are we going to continue like this? Are we ever going to get to a place where the house will be filled with children again? We need more Michael Jacksons.”

"Allow us to shine too" - Portable tells Olamide, Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy

Controversial street-hop artist Portable stirs conversation about generational shifts in the Nigerian music industry, urging established acts to make room for emerging talents.

In a statement delivered in pidgin during a livestream with Whitemoney, Portable argued that every generation benefits from those before them stepping aside.

He cited earlier figures such as D’banj, Don Jazzy, Flavour, and KCee, noting that their era created opportunities for stars like Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, and Burna Boy to rise.

He further referenced Timaya as an example of an artist who made space for others, urging current industry leaders to do the same.

According to Portable, refusing to allow new talents to thrive could lead to being pushed aside by the next wave of artists.

He said …

“Before people dey, people don dey o. If to say the likes of D’Banj, Don Jazzy, Flavour, KCee no Comot for road for Wizkid, Davido, Olamide and Burna, how them go pass? Make them leave road for us. Them Timaya give Una road, make Una Comot road for us. If you stand for road wey you no allow people waka, them go pursue you Comot. Na wetin dey they do for their Davido, Olamide and them Wizkid”

“The older generation like D’banj, Timaya, Don Jazzy and Flavour paved the way for Wizkid, Davido and Olamide to rise. But today, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide don’t want people like us to surpass them”
